  30. NOTICE TO USERS: CAREFULLY READ THE FOLLOWING LEGAL
  31. AGREEMENT. USE OF THE SOFTWARE PROVIDED WITH THIS
  32. AGREEMENT (THE "SOFTWARE") CONSTITUTES YOUR ACCEPTANCE
  33. OF THESE TERMS. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE TO THE TERMS OF THIS
  34. AGREEMENT, PROMPTLY REMOVE THE SOFTWARE TOGETHER WITH
  35. ALL COPIES FROM YOUR COMPUTER. USER'S USE OF THIS SOFTWARE
  36. IS CONDITIONED UPON COMPLIANCE BY USER WITH THE TERMS
  37. OF THIS AGREEMENT.
  38.  
  39. 1.  LICENSE GRANT. McAfee Software, Inc. ("McAFEE") and
  40.     its suppliers grant to you a non-exclusive,
  41.     non-transferable two (2) year right to use the
  42.     SOFTWARE on file servers connected to a maximum number
  43.     of user computers, or on a maximum number of user
  44.     computers, not exceeding the number of user computers
  45.     specified on the packaging for this product. During the
  46.     two (2) year period, registered users under this option
  47.     may download updates of the SOFTWARE as they are
  48.     published by McAfee from its bulletin board, website
  49.     or its online services such as Compuserve. (If you 
  50.     received a grant letter from McAfee and it designated
  51.     a different term other than "two years" or the like,
  52.     then the term shall be that designated in the grant 
  53.     letter.) This license to use the SOFTWARE is
  54.     conditioned upon your compliance with the terms of
  55.     this agreement.

  57.     You agree you will only copy the SOFTWARE into any 
  58.     machine-readable or printed form as necessary to use
  59.     it in accordance with this license or for backup
  60.     purposes in support of your use of the SOFTWARE. This
  61.     license is effective until terminated. You may terminate
  62.     it at any point by destroying the SOFTWARE together
  63.     with all copies of the SOFTWARE. Also, McAFEE has the
  64.     option to terminate if you fail to comply with any term
  65.     or condition of this agreement. You agree upon such
  66.     termination to destroy the SOFTWARE together with all
  67.     copies of the SOFTWARE.
  68.  
  69. 2.  COPYRIGHT. The SOFTWARE is protected by United States
  70.     copyright law and international treaty provisions. You
  71.     acknowledge that no title to the intellectual property
  72.     in the SOFTWARE is transferred to you. You further
  73.     acknowledge that title and full ownership rights to the
  74.     SOFTWARE will remain the exclusive property of McAFEE or
  75.     its suppliers, and you will not acquire any rights to
  76.     the SOFTWARE except as expressly set forth in this
  77.     license. You agree that any copies of the SOFTWARE
  78.     will contain the same proprietary notices that appear
  79.     on and in the SOFTWARE.
  80.  
  81. 3.  REVERSE ENGINEERING. You agree that you will not attempt
  82.     to reverse compile, modify, translate, or disassemble
  83.     the SOFTWARE in whole or in part.
  84.  
  85. 4.  LIMITED WARRANTY. McAFEE warrants that the SOFTWARE
  86.     will perform substantially in accordance with the
  87.     accompanying written materials for a period of thirty
  88.     (30) days from the date of purchase. Any implied
  89.     warranties relating to the SOFTWARE are limited to
  90.     thirty (30) days.
  91.  
  92. 5.  CUSTOMER REMEDIES. If the SOFTWARE does not conform
  93.     to the limited warranty in Section 4 above ("Limited
  94.     Warranty"), McAFEE's and its suppliers' entire
  95.     liability and your sole remedy shall be, at McAFEE's
  96.     option,    either to (a) correct the error or (b) help
  97.     you work around or avoid the error. The Limited
  98.     Warranty is void if failure of the SOFTWARE has
  99.     resulted from accident, abuse, or misapplication. Any
  100.     replacement SOFTWARE will be warranted for the
  101.     remainder of the original Limited Warranty period.
  102.  
  103. 6.  NO OTHER WARRANTIES. McAFEE AND ITS SUPPLIERS DO NOT
  104.     WARRANT THAT THE SOFTWARE IS ERROR FREE. EXCEPT FOR
  105.     THE EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY IN SECTION 4 ("LIMITED
  106.     WARRANTY"), McAFEE AND ITS SUPPLIERS DISCLAIM ALL
  107.     OTHER WARRANTIES WITH RESPECT TO THE SOFTWARE, EITHER
  108.     EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO
  109.     IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR
  110.     A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT OF
  111.     THIRD-PARTY RIGHTS.

  113.     SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF
  114.     IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN
  115.     IMPLIED WARRANTY MAY LAST, OR THE EXCLUSION OR
  116.     LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES,
  117.     SO THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSIONS MAY NOT APPLY
  118.     TO YOU. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS.
  119.     YOU ALSO MAY HAVE OTHER RIGHTS WHICH VARY FROM
  120.     JURISDICTION TO JURISDICTION.

  122. 7.  SEVERABILITY. In the event of invalidity of any
  123.     provision of this license, the parties agree that
  124.     such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the
  125.     remaining portions of this license.
  126.  
  127. 8.  NO LIABILITY FOR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT
  128.     SHALL McAFEE OR ITS SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE TO YOU FOR ANY
  129.     CONSEQUENTIAL, SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, OR INDIRECT DAMAGES
  130.     OF ANY KIND ARISING OUT OF THE DELIVERY, PERFORMANCE,
  131.     OR USE OF THE SOFTWARE, EVEN IF McAFEE HAS BEEN ADVISED
  132.     OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT WILL
  133.     McAFEE'S LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM, WHETHER IN CONTRACT,
  134.     TORT, OR ANY OTHER THEORY OF LIABILITY, EXCEED THE
  135.     LICENSE FEE PAID BY YOU, IF ANY.
  136.  
  137. 9.  GOVERNING LAW. This license will be governed by the
  138.     laws of the State of California as they are applied
  139.     to agreements between California residents entered
  140.     into and to be performed entirely within California.
  141.     The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the
  142.     International Sale of Goods is specifically disclaimed.
  143.  
  144. 10. ENTIRE AGREEMENT. This is the entire agreement between
  145.     you and McAFEE, which supersedes any prior agreement
  146.     or understanding, whether written or oral, relating
  147.     to the subject matter of this license.
  148.  
  149. U.S. GOVERNMENT RESTRICTED RIGHTS
  150. If this product is acquired under the terms of a
  151. (i) Civilian Agency Contract: use, reproduction, or
  152. disclosure is subject to FAR 52.227-19(a) through (d)
  153. and restrictions set forth in the accompanying end-user
  154. agreement; and (ii) DoD Contract: use, duplication or
  155. disclosure by the Government is subject to the terms of
  156. this license unless superseded by 252.227-7013(c)(1)(ii).
